2008: OBIT ARTHUR T. RIGGS, HHS '56

RECEIVED FROM JACK LACY, HHS '56:
===============================================
Hi All...
Thanks to a suggestion from John Carr, husband of our classmate Dottie (Peck) Carr, we checked with the Plumbers and Steamfitters local union and verified that our classmate Arthur T. Riggs did pass away Oct. 21, 2007. There was no obituary published but union officials confirmed that his pension was terminated upon receipt of a death certificate.
Sorry to be the ongoing bearer of sad tidings.
Jack

JOIN ME THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT KUSER MANSION!

I WILL BE KEEPING THIS MESSAGE ON TOP
OF MY POSTS UNTIL SUNDAY

I HOPE TO SEE AT LEAST A FEW OF THE MANY VIEWERS OF MY WEBSITES AT THIS SUNDAY'S KUSER MANSION PROGRAM. WE'RE GOING TO HAVE AN OLD FASHIONED SING-ALONG, JUST LIKE WE DID WHEN WE WERE SINGING IN OUR PARLORS THOSE MANY YEARS AGO. ONLY THIS TIME, INSTEAD OF A PIANO, I AND YOU WILL BE SINGING TO THE ACCOMPANIMENT OF MY UNIQUE "COMPUTER ORCHESTRA." COME ON OUT. BASED ON PAST PROGRAMS, YOU WILL HAVE A WONDERFUL COUPLE OF HOURS, AND FINALLY GET A RESPITE FROM THAT DARN CABIN FEVER WE HAVE ALL BEEN SUFFERING FROM OVER THESE LONG WINTER MONTHS!

IF YOU WANT TO BYPASS THE CALL FOR RESERVATIONS, E-MAIL ME WITH HOW MANY ARE IN YOUR PARTY, AND I WILL RESERVE FOR YOU. (thomglo@verizon.net)

FRIDAY, MARCH 14 POSTS ARE IN THE NEXT POST.

1942: HAMILTON HIGH'S 1942 OPERETTA

1942: HAMILTON HIGH'S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM

HERE'S THE CHRISTMAS PROGRAM AS PRINTED BY THE HAMILTON HIGH PRINT SHOP STUDENTS DURING THE DARK, DREARY AND FRIGHTENING EARLY YEARS OF WORLD WAR II.

1931: OPENING DAY AT HHS

THIS PROVED TO BE AN INCREDIBLY INTERESTING ARTICLE. HERE ARE THE STUDENTS AND TEACHERS WHO STARTED IN THE NEW HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL IN SEPTEMBER, 1931. I SEE MY COUSIN, RUTH WILLIAMSON, AND ONE OF THE GLOVER'S NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS ON HARTLEY AVENUE, HILDA ARENA. THERE ARE MANY OTHER FAMILIAR NAMES. I'M SURE YOU WILL ALSO FIND MANY NAMES THAT ARE FAMILIAR TO OTHER VISITORS.

1931: THESE ARE THE FIRST STUDENTS

1965-1966 TWO HHS CLASSES PLANNING REUNION

A JOINT REUNION....WHAT A GREAT IDEA!

HERE'S THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE JOINT REUNION OF THE CLASSES OF 65 AND 66 AT HHS. I SEE RONNIE STEWART ON THE LEFT IN THE FRONT ROW. RONNIE WAS AN EXCELLENT TV ANNOUNCER BACK WHEN TKR GAVE HAMILTON TOWNSHIP RELIABLEAND FREQUENT LOCAL COVERAGE , UNLIKE TODAY WHEN CABLEVISION HAS OPTED TO GIVE PREFERENCE TO LOCAL COVERAGE IN THEIR OCEAN-MONMOUTH COUNTY AREA. IF YOU MISSED THE NEWS ARTICLE FROM THE TIMES, HERE IT IS AGAIN.
