THIS COMING SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13, IT WILL BE MY PRIVILEGE TO BE THE GUEST SPEAKER AT THE 65TH REUNION LUNCHEON OF THE CLASS OF '42. THESE HORNETS ARE CARD-CARRYING MEMBERS OF "THE GREATEST GENERATION." WE WILL TALK ABOUT THE IMPACT WORLD WAR II HAD ON THE MEMBERS OF THE CLASS, AND RECALL SOME OF THE MUSIC OF THAT ERA. WE'LL ALSO BE REMEMBERING AIR RAIDS, "GREETINGS" FROM UNCLE SAM, RATION STAMPS, FIFTH COLUMNIST, AND THE SCARY REPORTS OF NAZI SUBMARINES OFF THE JERSEY COAST ALONG WITH JAPANESE SHIPS FIRING ON REFINERIES ALOGNG THE CALIFORNIA COAST.
