1947: NICK STILLWELL

SOME TIME AGO I ENTERED A POST BEMOANING THE FACT THAT WE TRIED TO ORGANIZE A HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION. UNFORTUNATELY, OUR EFFORTS WERE IN VAIN. AFTER MANY HOURS TRYING TO GET HAMILTON ALUMNI TO PARTICIPATE, WE GAVE UP THE PROJECT. APPARENTLY NICK AND HIS FELLOW HORNETS ALSO TRIED TO ORGANIZE AN ASSOCIATION. APPARENTLY IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. IT IS A MYSTERY THAT A SCHOOL WITH SUCH A SPLENDID HISTORICAL HERITAGE CAN'T SUPPORT THIS WORTHY PROJECT. THE LAST FORMAL INVOLVEMENT IN WHICH I PARTICIPATED AS AN ALUMNUS WAS IN THE EARLY '80'S WHEN ALL ALUMNI WERE INVITED TO THE ANNUAL "HOMECOMING" EVENT. NOTHING SINCE: CONCLUSION? APATHY ON THE PART
OF BOTH HAMILTON ALUMNI AND HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL .

BILL WAS ONE OF OUR MORE POPULAR FACULTY MEMBERS AT HAMILTON HIGH DURING THE 40'S AND 50'S. HERE WE SEE HIM AT HIS MILITARY STATION WITH THAT EVER-PRESENT PIPE.
